How much difference will my donation really make? A lot. We’re little, so every gift matters. And because we’re small, our donors can connect directly to our work in ways that are difficult in big operations. Many donors tell us specifically what programs they want to support. Many of them talk with us about our work. And some are directly involved in it, as volunteers or advisors. You can do all that too. We’re always interested in hearing from our donors. What will my donation do? Your donation can do anything that we do. In the Washington, DC, area, you can conserve threatened native plants at our Wild Plant Nursery, or you can restore local forest and meadow. Along the Dominican Republic / Haiti border, your gift to the Tree Bank Hispaniola will restore tropical forest in a Global Biodiversity Hotspot and help poor, small-holder farmers create more profitable, more natural ways of managing their land.
