Forest Shares are an easy way to support forest and stream restoration in the Washington, DC area. When you buy a Forest Share, you’re investing in the Earth Sangha Wild Plant Nursery. The nursery serves local restoration efforts by propagating exclusively from local, wild native-plant populations. Forest Shares cost $5 each. You can buy them at Earth Sangha activities, or by contacting us directly, at (703) 764-4830.

If you already own some Forest Shares, you can “plant” them at any of the sites where the Sangha is working. When you plant Forest Shares, you designate the site where you want your money invested. Your money will be used to plant our nursery stock on that site, and we’ll list you as a sponsor of our activities there. Please note that Forest Shares must be planted in multiples of two. (That’s because it costs us roughly $10—the price of two shares—to raise a woody plant from seed to field size.) And of course, any particular share can only be planted once.

Currently, you can plant Forest Shares at:
Wilburdale Park / Backlick Run
Native Arboretum at Marie Butler Leven Preserve
Riverbend Park
